Build a useful watch reference file
Keep the exact product page, manual and purchase records together.
Start with the full reference, not just a collection name. Save the official specification page and the manual for the actual caliber. The linked Seiko and Hamilton pages show why this matters: a product record describes the case and supplied strap, while operating instructions explain the movement. Keep the date you checked each source so a later page revision is not confused with the original purchase information.
Add the invoice, seller contact, warranty terms, service receipts and photographs of condition. Keep full serial numbers and personal details private when sharing your file with a community. A neat document set is useful for maintenance and communication, but does not itself authenticate a watch. If a detail conflicts with the official reference, record the discrepancy and ask a qualified service provider rather than editing the record until it appears consistent.
